A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to appropriate funds for the construction of a two hundred fifty-two bed dormitory, kitchen, administration building, and gatehouse at the cleveland correctional center.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.  There is appropriated from the General Fund to the Department of Correction the sum of thirteen million nine hundred fifty thousand dollars ($13,950,000) for the 2008‑2009 fiscal year to construct a 252‑bed dormitory, kitchen, administration building, and gatehouse at Cleveland Correctional Center, using inmate labor to the extent possible.

SECTION 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 2008.
