A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS TO REWARD EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

Section 1.  Funds are appropriated for the 1996-97 fiscal year to implement a program developed by the State Board of Education to reward excellence in teaching.

Sec. 2.  This act becomes effective July 1, 1996.
