School Construction Needs
Project Scope: As required by Section 25.1 of S.L. 2016-94, the Program Evaluation Division is managing a Legislative Services Commission contract with MGT Consulting Group to (i) perform an independent assessment of school construction needs and (ii) determine which of the local school administrative units have the highest facility needs in relation to their capacity to raise revenue to meet those needs.

Agency or Agencies Under Review: Department of Public Instruction, Safe and Healthy School Support Division, Local Boards of Education and County Boards of Commissioners of the following nine counties:
Anson, Bertie, Clay, Davie, Greene, Harnett, Jones, Scotland and Yancey. Robeson, originally scheduled, was removed from the current project because of severe flooding of schools and the system administrative complex as a result of Hurricane Matthew in early October 2016.
