School Construction Needs
Project Scope: The Program Evaluation Division is managing a Legislative Services Commission contract with MGT Consulting Group to (i) perform an independent assessment of school construction needs and (ii) determine which of the local school administrative units have the highest facility needs in relation to their capacity to raise revenue to meet those needs.
Project Mandate: Section 25.1 of S.L. 2016-94
The Scope of the Review Includes: school systems in Anson, Bertie, Clay, Davie, Greene, Harnett, Jones, Scotland and Yancey counties.
Robeson, originally scheduled, was removed from the current project because of severe flooding of schools and the system administrative complex as a result of Hurricane Matthew in early October 2016.
