Currently, the most reliable way to determine representation for an individual is to use the "Voter Lookup" tool maintained by the State Board of Elections. The State Board of Elections' database contains district assignments for all registered voters, as determined by their local boards of elections. To use the Voter Lookup tool:

1. Open the "Voter Lookup" page.
2. Enter your information into the form and click the "Submit" button.
3. If more than one person is found, select one and click the "Use Selected" button.
4. In the middle of the results page, click on the "My Districts" link to see your district assignments.
5. You can then return to this page and look up your representatives based on those districts.

Another way to determine your district assignments is to contact your local Board of Elections office directly. The State Board of Elections maintains a list of contact information for all 100 county boards of elections in North Carolina.

If you already know the House, or Senate, or Congressional district you are interested in, you can find who represents that district by selecting it from one of the lists below.

By selecting a county of residence from the list below, you can find who represents a particular county. Be aware that the representatives listed may represent any portion of the county and not necessarily the portion you are interested in. You may also want to view the House Representation by County and Senate Representation by County listings.

By entering your ZIP+4 code, you can find which districts you live in and the associated representatives. Please enter your ZIP code and four-digit extension below in the format "12345-1234"?. If you don't know your ZIP+4 code, you may find it on your driver's license. North Carolina driver licenses list the ZIP+4 as part of the address of the licensee. You can also look it up using the USPS ZIP+4 Code Look-Up Engine.
