HOUSE BILL 1509
AN ACT TO PROVIDE THAT CABARRUS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL MAY AWARD advanced DEGREEs TO GRADUATES OF ITS NURSING AND ALLIED HEALTH SCIENCES PROGRAMS AS APPROPRIATe.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. Section 11 of Chapter 307, Public-Local Laws of 1935, as amended by Chapter 947 of the 1987 Session Laws and by S.L. 1998-204, reads as rewritten:
"Sec. 11. Notwithstanding G.S. 116-15, the
Executive Committee of Cabarrus Memorial Hospital may establish and maintain in
connection with and as a part of the hospital an educational program for
nursing and allied health sciences. The Executive Committee may award an Associate
Degree or Associate, Baccalaureate Degree Baccalaureate,
and advanced degrees to graduates of the nursing education or allied health
sciences programs as appropriate."
SECTION 2. This act is effective when it becomes law.
