AN ACT to allow mayland community college to lease or sell at private sale two properties and to clarify that The city of roanoke rapids may order owners of residential property to repair rather than vacate housing to meet minimum code standards.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
SECTION 1. Mayland Community College may, with prior approval of the State Board of Community Colleges and notwithstanding G.S. 115D-15 or Article 12 of Chapter 160A of the General Statutes:
(1) Lease at private sale the former Lexington Furniture Building for such consideration as it deems sufficient; and
(2) Sell at private sale the former Hampshire Hosiery Building to Mitchell County Development Foundation, Inc., for such consideration as it deems sufficient.
SECTION 2. Section 2 of S.L. 2003-76 reads as rewritten:
"SECTION 2. This act applies only to the City
of Greensboro. Cities of Greensboro and Roanoke Rapids."
SECTION 3. This act is effective when it becomes law.
