GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF NORTH CAROLINA

CHAPTER 734
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
Section 1. Section 3 of Chapter 1061 of the 1987 Session Laws, as amended by Section 3 of the 1989 Session Laws, reads as rewritten:
"Sec. 3. The Board of Trustees of the Teachers'
and State Employees' Retirement System shall reserve the sum of one million
five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) and the Board of Trustees of the
Local Governmental Employees' Retirement System shall reserve the sum of five
hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) from unencumbered actuarial gains in the
Retirement Systems for the year ending December 31, 1987, for the purpose of
funding this act. Applications for refunds under this act shall be
made on or before July 1, 1994."
Sec. 2. This act is effective upon ratification.
