HOUSE BILL 94

AN ACT TO ALLOW THE CHARLOTTE CITY COUNCIL TO DELEGATE TO THE CITY MANAGER THE AUTHORITY TO SET CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLANS AND FRINGE BENEFITS.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

Section 1.  Section 4.41 of the Charter of the City of Charlotte, being Chapter 713, Session Laws of 1965, as amended by Chapter 968, Session Laws of 1973 and Chapter 1135, Session Laws of 1982, is amended by adding the following at the end: "The City Council may, in its discretion, delegate all or any part of the authority granted to it by G.S. 160A-162 to the City Manager."

Sec. 2.  This act is effective upon ratification.
