SENATE BILL 740

AN ACT TO EXTEND THE FREEZE ON THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATES OF NEED FOR NEW INTERMEDIATE CARE FACILITY BEDS FOR THE MENTALLY RETARDED.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

Section 1.  The first sentence of Section 1 of Chapter 836 of the 1983 Session Laws is amended by deleting "until June 30, 1984" and substituting "until January 1, 1985".

Sec. 2.  This act is effective upon ratification.
