GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF NORTH CAROLINA

CHAPTER 9
AN ACT TO ALLOW THE CITY OF WINSTON-SALEM TO INCREASE THE TAX LEVY ON MOTOR VEHICLES TO A MAXIMUM OF FIVE DOLLARS.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
Section 1. G.S. 20-97(a) is amended by adding immediately after the words "City of Charlotte" each time those words appear the words ", the City of Winston-Salem".
Sec. 2. This act is effective upon ratification.
In the General Assembly read three times and ratified, this the 14th day of February, 1983.
