CHAPTER 736
AN ACT TO ALLOW CERTAIN ADDITIONAL DEPUTY SHERIFFS IN CARTERET COUNTY TO PURCHASE AUTOMOBILES FROM STATE SURPLUS.
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:
Section 1. The first sentence of Section 1 of Chapter 505, Session Laws of 1981, as amended by Chapter 80, Session Laws of 1983, is amended by deleting the words ", full time salaried" and is further amended in the last sentence of Section 1 by deleting the word "and" the first time it appears and inserting in lieu thereof "based on the sheriff's written statement that the".
Sec. 2. This act applies to Carteret County only.
Sec. 3. This act is effective upon ratification.
