HOUSE BILL 915

 

AN ACT RELATING TO HUNTING IN PENDER COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

 

Section 1. Chapter 275 of the 1971 Session Laws, which amends Chapter 258 of the 1969 Session Laws, is amended by rewriting Section 1 thereof as follows:

"Sec. 10 of Chapter 258 of the 1969 Session Laws is hereby rewritten to read as follows:

'Sec. 10. Section 1 of this act shall apply to only the portion of Pender County which comprises the Holly Shelter Wildlife Refuge. Sections 2 through 13 of this act shall remain in full force and effect and shall apply to Duplin and Pender Counties only.' "

Sec. 1 1/2. It is the intent and purpose of this act to provide that the Wildlife Resources Commission shall set the open season for the taking of bear, male deer and squirrels in all of Pender County except the Holly Shelter Wildlife Refuge.

Sec. 2. This act shall become effective upon ratification.
