AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY OF LUMBERTON TO CONVEY REAL PROPERTY TO A JOINT LIBRARY ESTABLISHED BY ROBESON COUNTY AND THE CITY OF LUMBERTON.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. By a majority vote of its members, the City Council of the City of Lumberton may convey, without consideration, any real property owned by the City of Lumberton, which in the opinion of the Council is not needed for other governmental purposes, to any joint library which may be established jointly by the City of Lumberton and the County of Robeson under Article 8 of Chapter 160 of the General Statutes, and such conveyance may be made by the City of Lumberton upon such terms as, in the judgment of the City Council, shall be for the best interest of the public of the City of Lumberton and of Robeson County.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall become effective upon its ratification.
