HOUSE BILL 695

AN ACT TO AMEND THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF ROBBINSVILLE, GRAHAM COUNTY, RELATING TO THE HIRING OF POLICEMEN.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. Section 6 of Chapter 214, Private Laws of 1911, is hereby amended by adding at the end of the fifth paragraph thereof, relating to the appointment of policemen, the following sentence:

"The Mayor and the Board of Commissioners may employ as policemen persons who are not residents nor qualified voters of the Town of Robbinsville."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be effective immediately upon its ratification.
