AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 684 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF 1947 RELATING TO COMPENSATION OF THE MAYOR AND COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF KINGS MOUNTAIN.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Section 3 of Chapter 684 of the Session Laws of 1947, as rewritten by Chapter 72 of the Session Laws of 1957, is hereby rewritten to read as follows:

"Sec. 3. The salary of the Mayor shall be eight thousand five hundred dollars ($8,500.00) per annum, payable in monthly installments. The salary of each member of the Board of Commissioners shall be seventy-five dollars ($75.00) per month. G. S. 160-28 shall not apply to the City of Kings Mountain."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be effective upon its ratification.
