AN ACT TO MAKE AVAILABLE THE SERVICES OF AN ASSISTANT ATTORNEY GENERAL FOR THE INSURANCE DEPARTMENT, AND TO MAKE APPROPRIATIONS THEREFOR.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  The Attorney General is hereby authorized to appoint an Assistant Attorney General, in addition to those now provided by law, to be assigned to the Commissioner of Insurance and the State Insurance Department. Such Assistant Attorney General shall perform such additional duties as may be assigned to him by the Attorney General, and shall otherwise be subject to all provisions of the statutes relating to Assistant Attorneys General. The salary of said Assistant Attorney General and a secretary shall be paid from funds appropriated to the Insurance Department.

Sec. 2.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3.  This Act shall become effective July 1, 1967.
