AN ACT APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO THE NORTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE TO IMPROVE THE MARKETABILITY OF AND INCREASE THE INCOME FROM COTTON PRODUCED IN NORTH CAROLINA.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  There is hereby appropriated to the North Carolina Department of Agriculture, in addition to all other appropriations, out of the General Fund of the State the sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1967, and ending June 30, 1968, and the sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1968, and ending June 30, 1969.

Sec. 2.  Said sums are to be used by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture, in cooperation with the North Carolina Cotton Quality Improvement Committee, for the purchase of materials, particularly tags and placards, to increase the marketability of and the agricultural income from cotton produced in North Carolina.

Sec. 3.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4.  This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after July 1, 1967.

In the General Assembly read three times and ratified, this the 30th day of June, 1967.
