AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 124 OF THE SESSION LAWS OF 1961 RELATING TO THE COMPENSATION OF THE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF RUTHERFORD COUNTY WHILE SERVING AS MEMBERS OF THE COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION AND REVIEW.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Section 1 of Chapter 124 of the Session Laws of 1961 is hereby amended by changing the period after the word "installments" in line six to a semicolon and adding the following: "provided that each County Commissioner shall receive per diem compensation of thirty dollars ($30.00) per day while serving as a member of the County Board of Equalization and Review. The Board of County Commissioners may authorize the chairman of the Board a flat travel and expense allowance in an amount not to exceed twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per month."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall take effect upon its ratification.
