HOUSE BILL 447

 

 

AN ACT AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF AVERY COUNTY TO CONVEY PROPERTY TO THE BANNER ELK VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. The Board of Education of Avery County is hereby authorized to convey, with or without consideration, to the Banner Elk Volunteer Fire Department, that certain tract of land located in the Town of Banner Elk, Avery County, consisting of approximately 0.23 acres, and being more particularly described as follows:

BEGINNING at an iron stake in the East right-of-way of North Carolina Highway No. 184, said stake being at a point where the fence intersects the highway right-of-way, and running thence as and with the eastern right-of-way line of Highway No. 184 North 21 degrees and 45 minutes West 54.0 feet to an iron stake; thence North 68 degrees 15 minutes East 125.0 feet to an iron stake; thence South 21 degrees 45 minutes East 106.5 feet to an iron stake in the fence line; thence North 88 degrees and 50 minutes West 136.3 feet to the point of BEGINNING. Said property being shown on survey prepared by J. Paul Banner Associates, dated March 27, 1965.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
