AN ACT RELATING TO THE COMPENSATION OF THE JUDGE AND SOLICITOR OF THE HALIFAX COUNTY RECORDER'S COURT.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. Notwithstanding any other laws, the Board of County Commissioners of Halifax County is hereby authorized, in its discretion, to fix the salaries of the Judge and Solicitor of the Halifax County Recorder's Court in such amounts as it may deem wise and expedient, but in no event shall said salaries be fixed in amounts less than the sum of fifty dollars ($50.00) per month to the Judge and fifty dollars ($50.00) per month to the Solicitor of said court over and above those in effect on the effective date of this Act.

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall become effective upon its ratification.
