AN ACT TO APPROPRIATE ANNUALLY THE SUM OF $2500.00 TO THE NORTH CAROLINA RHODODENDRON FESTIVAL ON ROAN MOUNTAIN IN MITCHELL COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  There is hereby appropriated for each fiscal year of the biennium 1965-1967, out of the General Fund of North Carolina, the sum of twenty-five hundred dollars ($2500.00) to the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Rhododendron Festival on Roan Mountain in Mitchell County. The funds so appropriated shall be utilized by the Board of Directors of the Rhodendron Festival in promoting the Festival generally and for the special purpose of attracting visitors from other parts of North Carolina and from outside the State to the Festival itself and to the mountain areas of North Carolina, and for any other useful and necessary purpose and expense of the annual Rhododendron Festival.

Sec. 2.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3.  This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
