AN ACT TO CHANGE THE NAME AND STYLE OF THE TOWN OF ROXBORO TO THE CITY OF ROXBORO AND TO DESIGNATE THE GOVERNING BODY THEREOF AS THE CITY COUNCIL.
The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:
Section 1. The name and style of the Town of Roxboro, a municipality in Person County, shall hereafter be the "City of Roxboro". The governing body of such municipality, now designated as the board of commissioners, shall hereafter be known and designated as the "City Council", and the members of said governing body, now designated as commissioners, shall hereafter be known and designated as "Councilmen".
Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.
Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect on and after July 1, 1963.
