AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RALEIGH TO FIX THE SALARY OF THE JUDGE OF THE CITY COURT OF THE CITY OF RALEIGH BETWEEN CERTAIN LIMITS.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. The Judge of the City Court of Raleigh shall be paid by the City of Raleigh a salary to be fixed from time to time by the City Council of the City of Raleigh, but such salary shall be not less than eight thousand dollars ($8,000.00) per annum, nor more than twelve thousand dollars ($12,000.00) per annum, and shall be payable in equal monthly or semi-monthly installments. The salary of the Judge shall not be reduced during his term of office nor during consecutive successive terms to which he may be elected. Candidates for the office of the Judge of the City Court of Raleigh shall pay a filing fee of one hundred twenty dollars ($120.00).

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
