AN ACT TO INCREASE THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE ROBESON COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1. G. S. 115-19 is hereby amended by adding at the end thereof a new paragraph to read as follows:

"Provided, that in Robeson County the board of education shall consist of seven (7) members, elected and appointed as now provided by law. In addition to the present six (6) members of the Robeson County Board of Education, Thurman Anderson, Rt. 1, Rowland, North Carolina, is hereby appointed for a term of two (2) years, said term to begin upon the ratification of this Act and to continue until his successor is elected and qualified."

Sec. 2. This Act shall apply only to Robeson County.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
