AN ACT TO PROHIBIT THE TAKING OF CLAMS FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES IN BRUNSWICK COUNTY DURING CERTAIN MONTHS.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to take clams for commercial purposes or for the purpose of sale in Brunswick County during the period from June 1 to October 1 of each year.

Sec. 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this Act shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction may be fined or imprisoned, or both, in the discretion of the court.

Sec. 3. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 4. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
