AN ACT RELATING TO THE FEES OF THE REGISTER OF DEEDS OF CURRITUCK COUNTY.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. Chapter 315 of the Session Laws of 1957 is hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. Chapter 459 of the Session Laws of 1953 is amended by adding the following paragraph at the end of Section 1 thereof:

"Notwithstanding any of the fees set forth above, the register of deeds shall charge the fee of one and one-half dollars ($1.50) per page, or a fraction thereof, for all instruments recorded in his office. The minimum fee for any document shall be two dollars ($2.00), and the fee for each additional page shall be one and one half dollars ($1.50)."

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall be in full force and effect from and after its ratification.
