SENATE BILL 281

AN ACT TO AMEND CHAPTER 462 OF THE PUBLIC-LOCAL LAWS OF 1937 RELATING TO COMMISSIONS FOR COLLECTION OF TAXES IN WATAUGA COUNTY.

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

Section 1. The quoted portion of Section 1 of Chapter 462 of the Public-Local Laws of 1937 is amended by striking out in lines 4, 5, 6, and 7 thereof the words and figures "Two and one-half per centum (2½%) on the first fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) collected; three and one-half per centum (3½%) on the next twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00)" and inserting in lieu thereof the words and figures "Two per centum (2%) on the first seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000.00) collected; two and one-half per centum (2½%) on the next fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00)".

Sec. 2. All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3. This Act shall become effective December 1, 1962.
