AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE APPOINTMENT OF FOUR SPECIAL JUDGES.

 

The General Assembly of North Carolina do enact:

 

Section 1.  G.S. 7‑54 is hereby amended by adding the following sentences at the end thereof:

"The Governor is further authorized, if in his judgment the necessity exists therefor, to appoint, at such time or times as he may determine, not more than four additional special judges, whose terms of office shall begin from their appointment and qualification and end June thirtieth of the year 1963. The judges so appointed shall be subject to all provisions of this Section."

Sec. 2.  All laws and clauses of laws in conflict with this Act are hereby repealed.

Sec. 3.  This Act shall become effective upon its ratification.
