State Library Wants You!

…and you want the State Library but you need a library card first to use it.

With a library card you can check out books and use their electronic databases and digital collections.  Here’s a link to the State Library’s databases by type: http://statelibrary.ncdcr.gov/ghl/resources/bytype.html

Here’s how to get a card:

Fill out the library card application that’s at the bottom of this webpage: http://statelibrary.ncdcr.gov/ghl/resources/index.html

Then take the application to the State Library and bring your state employee ID.  Register for a card at the Reference Desk.  It is a quick and simple process that takes 5 minutes.

The State Library is right next to the Legislative Building at 109 East Jones Street.  Library Hours are 8:30 -5:00, Monday through Friday.

Let us know if you have any questions about the process.
